Description of this book :
This field guide entitled Marine Fishes of Kuantan: Malaysia Biodiversity Information System (MyBIS) has been written specifically to highlight the astonishing variety of marine fishes found at our nation’s fish landing jetty of the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia (LKIM). The species presented in this book were described mainly from specimens collected with trawling activity and other gears, together with few photo records. This book celebrates a total of 256 marine fish species from 79 families with 2 critically endangered (CR), 4 vulnerable (VU), 9 near threatened (NT), 174 least concern (LC), 17 data deficient (DD) and 50 not evaluated (NE) as per International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species status.
